The new QuickBooks Desktop Plus 2022 as announced by Intuit will be sold on an annual subscription basis format. The former Quickbooks Pro and Premier will become Quickbooks Pro Plus and Quickbooks Premier Plus.
The one-time purchase of a license will still be available for a very limited time and only through registered dealers/partners. Please note that some features of the one-time purchase license will not be functioning after three(3) years as planned and published in the Intuit Discontinuation Program.
What to Expect with the New Subscription Model?
With the shift to the subscription model, QuickBooks Desktop Plus users will be having additional value and service offerings. A QuickBooks Pro Plus 2022 or Premier Plus 2022 subscription includes benefits that is not offered in the one-time purchase of a QuickBooks Pro and Quickbooks Premier 2021 license:
- Automatic data backup and recovery at no additional charge.
- Access to the latest version, with the latest features, security patches, and support for 3rd party operating system changes.
- Optional: Add-on discounted cloud-based remote access.
How is the Migration Process would be like?
The transition from the previous Quickbooks Pro or Premier product to a QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 or Quickbooks Desktop Premier Plus 2022 subscription is easy. Upgrading is just a matter of minutes and in as little as four clicks. However, please note that QuickBooks Desktop Plus 2022 will only run on 64 bit computers.
